UBS Foundation

The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN #87-0536158) established for the sole purpose of raising funds in support of the Utah Boys State youth educational program.

The Foundation’s leadership, management, and staff are entirely volunteer-based. There are no paid employees, no shareholders, and no dividends distributed. One hundred percent of all donations received are used directly to support the mission of Utah Boys State through three primary purposes:

1.  Providing financial and tuition assistance to boys who desire to attend Utah Boys State but lack sufficient resources.

2. Funding needs-based, private scholarships for Utah Boys State graduates who would otherwise be unable to pursue post-secondary education.

3. Offering general financial support to help offset or minimize out-of-pocket costs for families of participants in the annual in-person Utah Boys State program, along with other essential program needs as determined by the Board of Directors.

Utah Boys State is an annual, week-long youth leadership and civics education program. Boys who have completed their junior year of high school are invited from across the state to participate in an immersive learning experience focused on citizenship, government, and leadership. During the program, students actively engage in the operation of city, county, and state government, gaining firsthand insight into the responsibilities of public service and the practical workings of democracy.
